Seth Speaks Out About Alzheimer’s Disease

Seth Rogen, star of such comedies as Knocked Up and Pineapple Express talked to CNN on Tuesday about a very serious issue: Alzheimer’s disease. Rogen, who called the disease “brutal,” said his fiancee’s mother has been battling it for years. He talked about the emotional toll it takes on families.

“I think until you see it firsthand, it’s kind of hard to conceive of how brutal it is,” Rogen told CNN on Tuesday. “Until I saw it, you just don’t get kind of how heartbreaking it can be. I just try to be as around as possible, as emotionally available as possible.”

Mr. Rogen,
My name is Joe and I suffer from AD and Frontal Tempora Dementia. I am glad that you and your fiancee have spoken out about her mothers disease. I am 66 diagnosed in 2004. I speak to many caregivers but not from their point, but from our side the suffer. Truly you do not know how it affects the suffer, only that which you see. Many of us do not speak out, I do. This is a disease from hell.
